Vtp status not updating

Since the replacement however, I have not been able to push any new VLANs to the Client switches.

Hi, Why can't I get my SHOW VTP STATUS on a VTP client to show the IP of the updating Switch?

The updates come through but the "Last Updated by" section always shows as 0.0.0.0.

Unfortunately, there is no way to know what the vpt password is on a client switch ("sh vtp password" only works on the server switch).

The trunks between SW-1 and SW-3 are up and fully functional.

SW-1 is configured as a VTP client and SW-3 is configured as a VTP server. What's a likely cause of the problem - based on the output.

Symptoms & environment as follows: * Have 2 switches connected.

* One switch is VTP Server and the other is client.
